  • hope everyone enjoyed their christmas. this is the 4th christmas i missed with the family this year i actually was given the chance to go home but i couldnt get myself to drop $1200 on plane tickets for only 5 days. already broke buying all those christmas presents spent christmas over at a friends house. food was great. first time in over a year i had a homecooked meal. the day after christmas the entire island lost power. everything was pitch black except for a few buildings that had backup generators. bored out of my mind. couldnt do anything so i ended up reading a book and just went to bed at 630 in the evening  power came back around 5ish in the morning.

  • yay! i finally got me driver license after 2 years and failing the first road test still looking for a car. didn’t realize it will be so hard to go buy one. just got back from my command holiday party. enjoyed it. food was pretty good.i didn’t drink alot this time. a coors light and 4 shots of petrone.   sucks that i didn’t win anything. we’re finally on standdown. pretty much our version of a christmas vacation. im off for 3 days work for 1 then off for 3 days again and so on till the 5th of Jan. best thing is i still get paid on my day off. Ill have Christmas and New Years Eve off. thats about it. hope everyone enjoy their holidays

  • ahhhh. my credit cards are weeping in pain. lost count on how much i spent the last few weeks. this is week im taking a course on how to calibrate pressure gages and temperature gage. boring? yes… do i care bout this course? no… get away from the boat? hell yea. im done with class by lunch time. last time i ever got out of work or anything by lunch was months ago. those days are long gone 2 more weeks will be on stand down. so im off work for 3 days. every 4th day ill stand duty.    time is ticking. i have 10 more months before i face the decision of either staying in the military and furthering my career or get out and start life as a civilian again.
